Great Weekend!
This past weekend I enjoyed a great weekend with my friends at BCM. From Friday afternoon till Saturday we went to the HUB conference at White Oak. It was a great time for next year’s BCM leadership team to build relationships with each other and also for all of us to learn the power of prayer. Here’s the group from this weekend:
These guys (and girls) are all great and I am looking forward to spending the year working with them and watching God work in BCM. This weekend at HUB was all about prayer; why we should pray, what we should pray for and even how to pray. Its amazing how powerful prayer is and too often we pray just to pray, not because we want to see God work. Prayer should be something that is a priority in our daily lives, not something we feel we have to do. This song really reminded me how important prayer is and how close Jesus is:
On Saturday night we went to see Tigeroar, the a cappella group at Clemson. They were really good and I’m glad I went to see them. All last week was International Week and the last big event of the week was the International Festival. I went out there with a couple friends from BCM and enjoyed trying some new, different foods.
This week isn’t going to be too bad…not too much work. Looking forward to my parents coming up to visit this weekend. It will be a lot of fun. After that there is only one more week of classes and then exams. Man, this year has gone by so fast. Well, I hope this is a great week for everyone! God Bless!

Alexander, it was so good to hear from you and see the picture of your buddies. Glad you had a wonderful weekend. I know that you are looking forward to this coming weekend. It is hard to believe that a year has almost gone by already. Study hard and do GOOD on your finals, then you can enjoy the summer. We are doing okay. Pop came home from the hospital Sunday evening. He still has to wait for an appointment to have one more procedure done, hopefully this week. So please keep us posted and remember that you are in our prayers daily. Love you, Grammy & Pop

Hey Alexander! Glad to see your update and to hear what great things God is doing in your life. It has been neat following your journey this year, knowing that Trey will be experiencing some of the same challenges when he leaves for college this fall. Great news – he has decided to attend Liberty University! Thanks for your prayers as he made his decision. You’re right – prayer is powerful – because our God is awesome! Blessings on your upcoming exams. Love to your and your family!
